Mediums: Watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastels, and more.
Kathy paints a variety of subjects – florals, vegetables and fruits; bodies of water from lakes to oceans; people; landscapes from mountains to wild prairies; and animals. Her passion for art began in kindergarten and grew stronger later in life. She studied watercolor for 10 years with Houston artist Carolina Graham and honed her oil/acrylic skills with Houston artist Chuck Anderson. Recently, she attended an oil painting workshop with Derek Penix in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her tulip painting was selected for a gallery show at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City during their annual Tulip Festival and reproduced on a light pole banner.
Kathryn draws inspiration from client stories, memories, and images—whether of a child, an animal, or a landscape—transforming them into timeless works of art.
